An experimental process to reverse the effects of exposure to [[Savant Radiation]]; usually including the development of [[supernormal]] powers. When first introduced, two years after the [[Hope Tower Incident]], this process had around a thirty percent success rate; but within five years it had become closer to eighty. Some people (especially those who underwent a whole lifetime of low level exposure, such as [[Red Vermilion]]) are completely unaffected, while others demonstrate a temporary reduction in powers.

At the time the process was first presented to the public, a number of topical comedians attempted to popularise the name CDE, allowing them to make "seedy" puns. However they were mostly unsuccessful, and the technique is mostly referred to (along with all other power-removing technologies) as [[dialysis]].
