A [[mask]], real name [[Carly Samson]] (need to double check I remembered that right). She got the text for a supposedly magical ritual off the Internet, and tried to perform it on the roof of her apartment building to prove that she wasn't as weak and insignificant as she felt. The ritual transformed her into a part-plant being, summoning hundreds of tons of vine-like tentacles which quickly spread across the rooftops of the city. The vines will do her bidding, but they cannot follow orders a plant is incapable of understanding (like "Stop growing"), and she reflexively attacks anyone who attacks them. For a while, she thought she'd managed to kill [[Captain Ultimatum]].

Being separated from the vines is incredibly painful for her, and she feels any injury they sustain. the vines have grown throughout her body, completely replacing her circulatory system in the first three minutes of the ritual, meaning that the [[dialysis]] process required by the [[SARI Act]] would kill her. for this reason she is allowed to retain her [[supernormal]] status, and becomes one of the founder members of the [[Next Wave]] and the [[New Enforcers]].
