Commander Silence

Commander Silence had the ability to become invisible, as well as a suit of tactical armour packed with all the gadgets that Hope Three could develop. Though it was never publicly known, there were factors affecting her invisibility that made her less effective in practice. Invisibility is triggered by a rise in adrenaline (either due to a panic response, or injected); and she returns to visible when subjected to a strong magnetic field. Becoming invisible in less than a minute also requires the injection of Atlantean crystals dissolved in the adrenaline shot; and hope Three's total supply of the crystal would only supply around three doses.

This didn't go so well, as the Commander used this ability to rob the City Central Deposit Bank, as well as other institutions, raising funding to set herself up as an independent vigilante. She later appeared under the name Dark Shroud.

Uniform

Shoulder pads and chest piece are anodised black metal. The remainder of the outfit is a tan fabric, with some kind of fabric that suggests body armour beneath. The whole costume is decorated with webbing straps to carry gadgets and weapons.
