The Vanisher

A reluctant mask, otherwise known as Hank Nostromo or as Terrorist One. Has a red goatee and steel-grey eyes. His costume is old bike leathers, the colour matching his eyes. The letters on the back are worn; there used to be more, but the ones that remain appear to spell the word 'VANISH' in gothic script capitals.

Notable as the first mask to get a full obituary in the Hope City Chronicle, sacrificing himself to save civilians during the Hope Tower Incident.

Appearance

First appearance in chapter 9:

“Target is wearing biker gear, recognised gang back patch, carrying aluminium briefcase I believe to be from Kerrigan Labs. Sir, I am convinced this is Terrorist One.” [...] The patch on the back of Terrorist One’s jacket was well known, a gang symbol consisting of the word “VANISH” in heavy gothic capitals, over a stylised pair of targeting reticles.

The word is actually part of a longer gang name, but the jacket is worn to the extent that only those letters remain.

He caught a glimpse of silver grey eyes, the same colour as the leather jacket, and a neatly trimmed red goatee. Before their eyes even met, Tomas found his trigger fingers reflexively pulling, because they’d been almost this close before and he knew what was about to happen. The shots rang out, and he would have sworn his aim was perfect as Terrorist One vanished.
