City Museum
From Hope City Stories
The most famous museum in Hope City, and a part of the Core District. The museum houses an incredible variety of exhibits, but is possibly even more famous for its design and architecture.
Many people who moved to the city after the buildings were completed assume that the museum is a smaller imitation of Hope Tower. In fact, it was a first prototype for the design, smaller but in the same shape. The two buildings are aligned, with the museum's smaller 'spine' support pointing directly towards Hope Tower. There is a single viewpoint, standing in the centre of the mosaic in the museum courtyard, from where the museum will line up perfectly with an identical (but larger) part of the base of the tower. This can mess with an observer's sense of perspective, as those actual parts of Hope Tower are behind other buildings from that point. The illusion is different during the night, as the museum is lit with a whole rainbow of vibrant colours while the tower is pure white. But as the beams of coloured light shine up from the courtyard, they can illuminate the faintest shreds of mist to make it look like the tower has been draped in colours.
