Dragonbreath

Dragonbreath is a power of some supernormals. The first to gain public prominence was Red Vermilion, though others may have used it before.

It is a directed burst of raw energy, and so is often exhausting to use. The energy can consist of electrical discharges, electromagnetic radiation of all frequencies, alpha and beta particles, high-energy neutrons, and Savant Radiation. For most dragonbreath users, their attack consists of all of those destructive energies at the same time, and can melt through just about anything with ease.

The term was first seen in print in the book A Catalogue of Supernormal Phenomena, by Rick Daik, though he credits its coining to the Crusader. It's believed this was an in-joke between the two men, to which Crusader responded by saying that Daik was the only person to have deduced his secret identity.
